A study of emotional intelligence, co-worker support, employee empowerment, job autonomy, and performance affecting job satisfaction of private company employees in Bangkok

Abstract

This research aims to study the emotional intelligence, co-worker support, employee empowerment, job autonomy, and job performance affecting job satisfaction of private company employees in Bangkok. The 276 usable survey questionnaires were collected from the private company employees in Bangkok. The statistics analysis for hypothesis testing method was multiple regression analysis. As a result, the study found that the majority of respondents were female with 21- 30 years of age. They completed in a bachelor’s degree, and earned monthly salary less than 20,000 baht. The hypothesis testing stated that emotional intelligence in terms of emotional recognition, employee empowerment, and job performance affected job satisfaction of private company employees in Bangkok with the statistically significant level of .5.
