This research aims to study the relation between executive compensation and executive gender on return on equity (ROE) of listed companies on the Stock Exchange of Thailand with high market capitalization and consistent trading liquidity of 100 companies (SET100). The study used secondary data during the years 2009 to 2014, with collected data from SETSMART database, annual reports of listed companies, the 56-1 report, website of listed companies and the Securities and Exchange Commission and the Stock Exchange of Thailand. Data are analyzed using descriptive statistics and inferential statistical analysis with a multiple regression analysis. The results indicate that the return on equity is negatively correlated with the debt-to-equity ratio and total number of board size of companies, but positively correlated with the size of company. While the board compensation, executive compensation and proportion of women on executive gender had no relation to the return on equity.
