Abstract: | This study examines the influence of leadership styles, organizational
learning, and organizational communication on employee organizational engagement.
The three independent variables investigated are leadership styles—specifically
democratic (participative), authoritative, and transactional leadership; organizational
learning—encompassing training and development programs, knowledge sharing and
collaboration, and continuous improvement and learning culture; and organizational
communication—focused on communication channel, communication quality,
and employee feedback mechanisms. The study aims to understand how these factors
contribute to enhancing employee engagement within organizations. Primary data
were collected from 310 respondents in Thailand using a convenient sampling
method. Participants completed online questionnaires consisting of demographic
questions and items rated on a five-point Likert scale, addressing aspects related to the
independent and dependent variables. Data analysis employed descriptive statistics
and multiple linear regression techniques to assess the relationships between the
independent variables and employee organizational engagement. The findings reveal
significant positive impacts of all three independent variables—leadership styles,
organizational learning initiatives, and organizational communication practices—on
employee organizational engagement. Specifically, democratic leadership fosters
participatory decision-making and inclusivity, authoritative leadership provides clear
direction and alignment, and transactional leadership establishes structured
performance expectations. Training and development programs enhance employee
skills and adaptability, knowledge sharing and collaboration promote innovation and
teamwork, and continuous improvement initiatives foster a culture of learning and
adaptation. Effective communication channels, high-quality communication practices,
and robust employee feedback mechanisms enhance transparency, trust, and
responsiveness within organizations. This study recommends that organizations
prioritize leadership development across diverse styles, invest in comprehensive
learning initiatives, and strengthen communication strategies to boost employee
engagement effectively. Such strategic enhancements can significantly contribute to organizational success and sustainability by aligning employee efforts with
organizational goals and fostering a positive work environment conducive to growth
and innovation. |
