ภาพตัวแทนการใช้อำนาจ การครอบงำ และการต่อต้านขัดขืนในภาพยนตร์ชุด Hunger games

Abstract

การวิจัยนี้ มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อวิเคราะห์ภาพตัวแทนที่ผู้สร้างนำเสนอการใช้อำนาจของรัฐและการครอบงำ ที่จะทำให้ประชาชนยอมทำตาม ภาพตัวแทนที่ผู้สร้างนำเสนอวิธีและลักษณะในการต่อต้านและขัดขืนอำนาจของประชาชนในภาพยนตร์เรื่อง Hunger Game และเพื่อศึกษาเงื่อนไขในการเลือกสัญญะในภาพยนตร์ชุด Hunger Games ที่ได้ถูกนำไปใช้แสดงการต่อต้านขัดขืนอำนาจรัฐ ผู้วิจัยใช้ระเบียบวิธีวิจัยเชิงคุณภาพ (Qualitative Research) ด้วยวิธีการวิเคราะห์ตัวบท (Textual Analysis) ผลการศึกษาพบว่า ภาพตัวแทนที่มีการใช้อำนาจของรัฐที่จะทำให้ประชาชนยอมทำตาม คือ การสร้างวินัยผ่านพิธีกรรมที่มีเหตุมีผล การทำให้ตกอยู่ภายใต้การจ้องมอง การใช้อำนาจชีวะ และการใช้อำนาจในการควบคุมบังคับชนชั้นล่าง และการยอมรับการปกครองอย่างยินยอมพร้อมใจ การนำเสนอวิธีและลักษณะในการต่อต้าน และขัดขืนอำนาจของประชาชน คือ การต่อต้านและขัดขืนอำนาจผ่านสัญญะการชูสามนิ้ว นกม็อกกิ้งเจย์ โฆษณาชวนเชื่อ ผิวปาก และการวาดภาพ และสัญญะที่ได้ถูกนำไปใช้แสดงการต่อต้านขัดขืนอำนาจรัฐในปัจจุบัน คือ สัญญะการชูสามนิ้วที่สามารถกระทำได้โดยทันที โดยไม่จำเป็นจะต้องผ่านกระบวนการเตรียมการ และยังสามารถหลบซ่อนจากการถูกจับกุมได้โดยง่ายเท่านั้น ที่ถูกนำไปใช้ในโลกแห่งความจริง อย่างไรก็ตามสัญญะในภาพยนตร์ก็ได้ถูกนำไปเผยแพร่โดยสื่อมวลชน และโดยเฉพาะสื่ออินเทอร์เน็ต สื่อสังคมออนไลน์ จนทำให้เกิดวัฒนธรรมการมีส่วนร่วม ที่แม้แต่ผู้ที่ไม่เคยชมภาพยนตร์มาก่อน แต่มีความเข้าใจและเห็นด้วยกับความหมายของสัญญะ ก็สามารถที่จะหยิบยืมนำสัญญะมาใช้ได้ ผ่านกลไกต่าง ๆ บนโลกอินเทอร์เน็ต อย่างเช่น การใช้แฮชแท็กบนสื่อสังคมออนไลน์ทวิตเตอร์ เป็นต้น

This qualitative research aiming to study representative image that the creator of The Hunger Games films represent the exercise of real world by textual analysis of the Hunger Games films series as follows, the exercise of state power that make the people feel docile towards that power, representative image that the creator of The Hunger Games films represents the collective way the people in the films use to resist the state power and the conditions of selecting symbols that have been brought to use in real world as a way to represent the state power resistance. The study shows the representative image of exercise state power that the state make the people discipline through creating rational ritual, making the people feels like they are always being watched through gazing or bio-power and the exercise of power to rule over lower class with coercion. The study shows the representative image of the collective ways the people in the films use to resist state power is through the resistance by using symbolic signs such as three fingers salute, the mocking jay symbol, propaganda media, the whistle symbol and wall painting. While the symbol that the audiences brought to use in the real world as a symbol of state power resistance is the symbol of three finger salute since it’s the most recognizable symbol and easiest symbol from the movie that the people in the real world can use without going through many limitations or risks. Also because of the new media like internet or social network, have been publishing contents or news about the symbol of three finger salute. It creates the participatory culture, that even people who haven’t watched the hunger games film series before, can still understand what the symbol means and can use that symbol to express their feelings through social media function such as hashtag on twitter.
