การจัดการพื้นที่ใช้สอยภายในศูนย์พัฒนาเด็ก: กรณีศึกษา เดอะ ลิตเติ้ล ยิม กรุงเทพมหานคร

Abstract

งานวิจัยเรื่องนี้เป็นการศึกษาเกี่ยวกับการจัดการพื้นที่ใช้สอยภายในศูนย์พัฒนาเด็ก เดอะ ลิตเติ้ล ยิม โดยมีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อประเมินประสิทธิภาพการใช้งานพื้นที่ วิเคราะห์ความเหมาะสมของการจัดพื้นที่ และพฤติกรรมการใช้งานพื้นที่ รวมถึงความต้องการและปัญหาที่เกิดขึ้น เพื่อเสนอแนะแนวทางการจัดการพื้นที่ภายในศูนย์พัฒนาเด็ก เดอะ ลิตเติ้ล ยิม สาขาทองหล่อ ให้มีความเหมาะสม การศึกษานี้ดำเนินการเก็บข้อมูลโดยใช้วิธีการวิจัยเชิงคุณภาพ แบ่งเป็น 3 ขั้นตอน ดังนี้ 1) สำรวจ และเก็บรวบรวมข้อมูลลักษณะพื้นที่ทางกายภาพ โดยใช้แนวคิดการประเมินพื้นที่หลังการใช้งาน (POE) วิเคราะห์ประสิทธิภาพพื้นที่ภายในศูนย์พัฒนาเด็ก เดอะ ลิตเติ้ล ยิม จำนวน 4 สาขา ได้แก่ ทองหล่อ, ดิเอ็มโพเรียม, บางนา, และแจ้งวัฒนะ และวิเคราะห์ลักษณะการใช้งาน และความสัมพันธ์ของพื้นที่ 2) เก็บข้อมูลด้วยวิธีการสัมภาษณ์ผู้ใช้งานพื้นที่แต่ละกลุ่ม ได้แก่ ผู้บริหาร และผู้ฝึกสอน จำนวน 5 คน, นักออกแบบ จำนวน 1 คน และผู้ปกครอง จำนวน 8 คน เพื่อเก็บข้อมูลในด้านทัศนคติ ความคิดเห็น ความต้องการ และปัญหาในการใช้งานพื้นที่ 3) สรุปความต้องการ และปัญหาจากการใช้งานพื้นที่ ผลการวิจัยพบว่า การจัดพื้นที่ใช้สอยภายในศูนย์พัฒนาเด็ก เดอะ ลิตเติ้ล ยิม สาขาทองหล่อ ยังไม่สอดคล้องกับความต้องการของผู้ใช้งาน โดยพบปัญหาสำคัญ 3 กรณี ดังนี้ 1) พื้นที่ส่วนรวมมีความไม่สอดคล้องกับกิจกรรม และพฤติกรรมการใช้งาน 2) พื้นที่ทำกิจกรรมมีความสูงพื้นถึงเพดานไม่เพียงพอ เป็นอันตรายต่อผู้ใช้งาน 3) พื้นที่สำหรับเจ้าหน้าที่ขาดพื้นที่ใช้สอยที่จำเป็นในการใช้งาน ทั้งนี้ การวิจัยดังกล่าวแสดงให้เห็นถึงปัญหา และความต้องการของผู้ใช้งานตามสภาพการณ์จริงที่เกิดขึ้น ซึ่งผู้วิจัยได้นำผลการศึกษาที่ได้มาสรุปเป็นแนวทางการจัดการพื้นที่ใช้สอยภายในศูนย์พัฒนาเด็ก เดอะ ลิตเติ้ล ยิม สาขา ทองหล่อ ให้มีประสิทธิภาพ มีความเหมาะสมและสอดคล้องกับพฤติกรรมการใช้งาน รวมถึงเป็นประโยชน์ต่อการจัดการพื้นที่ภายในศูนย์พัฒนาเด็กแห่งอื่นๆต่อไป

The research is focused on the evaluation of functional area arrangement of child development center. Four of “The Little Gym” branches located in Thonglor, The Emporium, Bang-na, and Chaengwattana were used as a case study for this research. The objectives were (1) to evaluate the spatial efficiency of the main functions, (2) to make a comparative analysis for the congruity of the existing spatial arrangement and users’ behaviors, and (3) to develop a conclusion detailing users’ requirements and existing problems. A qualitative approach was mainly adopted for this research. The qualitative approach was broken down into three stages: 1) Site surveying and collecting data by using Post Occupancy Evaluation (POE) as the tool to evaluate the spatial aspects and spatial relationships. 2) Collecting data by interviewing both customers and staffs of The Little Gym. A total of four instructors, one interior designer, and eight parents were interviewed that used to analyze the use of spaces inside The Little Gym. 3) Develop a conclusion on users’ needs and existing problems. The result shows that there are three main problems in terms of the spatial limitation and insufficiency for the activities 1) The common area is inconsistent with activities and users’ behaviors 2) There is not enough ceiling height in activity areas, which could cause a risk of injury 3) The staff areas lack usable spaces. The result shows the problems and the needs of users according to the real situation that can be summarized as a guideline for functional area arrangement in The Little Gym Thonglor branch or other child development centers in the future.
