Abstract: | This study explores the impact of storytelling techniques on Thai viewers' interest and behavior in the context of Thai BL dramas, with a focus on the series A Tale of Thousand Stars. Using a quantitative research approach through online surveys (n=154), the research examines how narrative structure, character development, and emotional expression influence viewer engagement. The study employed statistical analysis to evaluate the relationships between storytelling elements and viewer responses. Key findings reveal that storytelling techniques significantly impact both viewer interest and behavioral patterns, as demonstrated through viewing frequency metrics and online engagement statistics. Among the storytelling elements analyzed, character development showed the strongest statistical correlation with viewer engagement and loyalty. The results provide empirical evidence for the importance of balancing narrative elements with cultural authenticity, offering data-driven insights for content creators in the Thai BL drama genre. These quantitative findings demonstrate the measurable impact of Thai BL dramas on viewer engagement and cross-cultural appeal. |
