The objective of this independent study was to study the uses and gratifications of video conferencing by operational level staff in the Bangkok metropolitan area. The study was a quantitative research project and the sample selected from employees in the Bangkok metropolitan area, with a questionnaire as research tool to collect data. The accuracy of content and confidence by Cronbach’s Alpha reliability test was 0.971 from 40 participants, while a sample of 138 used the G*Power3 program by Cohen (1997). Statistical methods were divided into two types: descriptive statistics and inferential statistics including frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, and analysis of variance and correlation coefficient. It was found that that the demographic characteristics of educational levels related to the behavior of using video conferencing was different. It is related to the benefits of using video conferencing to save time traveling for meetings, reduce the risk of COVID-19, and help create good interaction with colleagues even in different locations. It was found that the behavior of using video conferencing was correlated with user satisfaction with easy use, the ability to record conversations for later review, the ability to observe emotions of participants, participate in conversations similar like face-to-face communication and creating friendships with conversation partners.
