Abstract: Originally, the terms violence and aesthetic do not relate to one another. It is a technique of expression and a filmic style. Violence aesthetics evolved into a kind of formal experimentation and artistic taste. The focus of this study is to examine violence aesthetics in the movie The Hateful Eight which directed by Quentin Tarantino. It comprises of 49 brutal scenes of which 10 scenes were selected for a detailed analysis of the presentation and justification of the aesthetics of violence. In order to take a more objective and dialectical view of the aesthetics of violence, semi structured interviews were conducted with 20 participants who have seen The Hateful Eight and enjoyed it. Results and findings were compiled on the basis of responses of the participants. This paper mainly analyzes and discusses the forms of violence in Quentin's films especially the expressive power of sound, the use of cinematography and the use of character modeling.
